Week 28

One thing I love about living in a new city is exploring. Not just going to new places, but taking the time to really look around and appreciate things. We walked just a few blocks out of our way today and found some pretty little streets with interesting old buildings...

Week 27

We tried out a new bar this week and I was fascinated with the ice. When you order this drink, they form a huge ball of ice from a frozen block. I also loved the drink itself. 😉 The "Chocolate Bourbon Ball" is my latest favorite!

Week 26

I love being able to walk down a street in Dublin and look up to see things like this in a gap between the trees. At about 150 years old, this church is young by Irish standards, but is still part of the history that can be found on every street here.

Week 22

... Wicklow Mountains National Park hike around the lake valley... it was great to get up and enjoy the view! We hiked up to the top here (on the right), then around and back down the other side of the lake (on the left). We even had some patches of sunshine, which you'll just have to trust me on.

Week 12

Week 10

March 5 -11, 2013 This week we visited the National Museum of Archaeology. The building itself, built in 1890, was worth a visit! Here's a view looking up in the great centre court. We enjoyed seeing the collection of Ireland's... Continue Reading →

Week 9

Feb 26 - March 4, 2013 This week we got out and did the tourist thing a little more. One of the best parts was a self-guided audio tour by Pocket Guides on my iPhone. Really handy and very informational... Continue Reading →

Week 8

Feb 19 - 25, 2013 While in Dublin, we're staying in the Docklands, by Hanover Quay. It's a newly remodeled area of the city with a huge theater just behind us and modern apartment buildings all around. But, there are... Continue Reading →
