Day # 296
My hometown isn’t quite the same as it once was. And by quite, I mean it’s drastically different in lots of ways. It was hit by an F5 tornado last May and is still working hard to recover. It’s amazing how much has been rebuilt, how many lives are back on track, and how much hope and determinate the town has. But, the devastation is still there, part of daily life. I’m not there to be a part of it day to day, but whenever I visit it it takes my breath away… and not in a good way.
But, like I said, Joplin is full of hope and things like this can be found all over town. In an area nearly wiped clean, this tree survived and has been turned into something positive.
