Day #176
Andy and I have been enjoying hiking in Colorado. The problem is that we seem to be really awful at choosing trails and actually going on the right ones. We look at the maps, do some research, but things keep going wrong. Today’s hike was a little sketchy as the “trail” was barely the width of my foot in most places, and seemed to wander somewhat aimlessly through the forest. We stuck with it though and ended up climbing up some pretty serious grade with switchbacks before we got to this lookout. Beautiful yes! And thankfully there was something to see before we had to turn around (were on a time crunch due to work), since, come to find out, we weren’t on the right trail at all. In fact, we’re pretty sure it barely qualified for a trail since it wasn’t marked on any map we could find. That broken – half missing- “trail marker sign” should have been a bigger clue…

It was great to see your smiling faces. Hope this finds you happy and healthy:) All’s well here in WY. Ray and I are going to see Bud and Char the 25th. Then the end of October, I will get to see Shell and Cam. I love you , Kerrrrrrr
